Fundraiser gives local ladies a little to look at (but please, no pictures)
Area women flocked to the Norwalk Eagles Thursday to witness fake leather, chiseled bodies and choreographed stripping.
Norwalk Eagles housed Las Vegas' Chippendales East Coast chapter for fundraising and take-your-breath-away purposes.
Mike Harshberger, president of the local club, said members had been brainstorming various fundraising ideas when the possibility of Chippendales came up.
"The idea was mentioned about two weeks ago," Eagles president Mike Harshberger said. "Ticket sales took off. This is a great crowd."
Trustee Tom Green said within 24 hours of calling the stripping/dancing/crowd pleasing act, their phone call was returned and the event was scheduled.
"As long as there's a big enough facility," Chippendales owner and producer Tony Valentine said, "we'll work it."
