Shirley Jackson is making sure the question "How come we never get together?" doesn't go unanswered in Searsville.
Jackson says she got involved with planning the annual neighborhood reunion, much like a family reunion, because she was tired of hearing the question with no one acting on it.
She, along with a committee of past and present Searsville residents, is hard at work planning this year's reunion.
The reunion is a time to share memories and create new ones, Jackson said. "Come on out and show your neighborhood spirit," she wrote to residents in a letter.
The reunion, which has taken place for years, was a wash last year because of the flood -- but Jackson and the committee are making sure that doesn't happen this year.
