A Bellevue teen missing since Tuesday night has returned home safely.
Apryl Townsend, 14, returned home around 2 a.m. Saturday morning, said her mother Pam Townsend.
Apryl, a rising freshman at Bellevue High School, had been hanging out with friends in the Castalia area for the last few days. She called her mother around 12:30 a.m. Saturday to let her know she was OK.
"She wanted to wait to come home and I talked her into coming home today," her mother said Saturday night.
"I can't tell you how happy I am to have her home," she added.
Pam Towsend spent the past few days hanging up missing person flyers in hopes of finding her daughter.
"We took her around all day today and made her take down all the flyers we had put up in the past few days."
Apryl, the youngest of three children, left the house Tuesday night and was last seen that evening in Bellevue.
"She's fine," said Pam Townsend. "She's just tired because she stayed up the whole time."
