BELLEVUE

A Bellevue teen has been missing since Tuesday night, her parents said.

Apryl Townsend, 14, daughter of Earl and Pam Townsend, was last seen Tuesday evening in Bellevue.

"We know that she's in northern Ohio because of the GPS on her cell phone," Pam Townsend said Friday afternoon.

Her mother last spoke to her shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday. Apryl's parents have no idea why the youngest of their three daughters left the house that night.

"She's never gotten into trouble before," her mother said.

An upcoming high school freshman, Apryl played volleyball and basketball at Bellevue Junior High.

Apryl is 5-feet-9-inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds.

She has brown, shoulder-length hair, brown eyes and wears hearing aids in both ears. Her mother described her as tan with an athletic build.

Bellevue police said the case is still under investigation, but declined to make any further comment.
