SANDUSKY

A jogging Good Samaritan discovered smoke pouring from around the edges of Margaritaville's front door at about 5:48 a.m today.

Margaret Rudolph, former Human Resources Director for the city of Sandusky, ran to the nearby Ohio State Highway Patrol post to report the working fire.

Sandusky fire responded from two stations with a total of 12 firefighters, an ambulance and three engines to the scene.

It took firefighters about 30 minutes to put out the blaze, said Battalion Chief Mike Yost.

"The fire appears to be electrical in nature," he said, adding that the cause is under investigation.

The blaze appears to have started near an ice machine.
