I am completely sick of the partisan bickering about the U.S. Attorney firings. Our senators and representatives are wasting the little time they spend on the hill to try and bring down the current administration.

Sen. Patrick Leahy wants to hold the White House in contempt for not turning over documents regarding the issue.

SHUT UP! I'm sick of the whining, the positioning, the crap that our elected officials are tackling instead of important issues like immigration, education and security.

Did Alberto Gonzales screw up? Yes. Should Congress constantly harass him for his error? Absolutely not. The Democrats in Congress are clearly trying to make up for the Clinton impeachment. Why don't you guys try to be the bigger people and let it go?

All Mr. Gonzales had to say in response to questions of the firings was, "U.S. attorneys serve at the pleasure of the president." It would have been open and shut, no matter how much badgering he took; the answer should have remained that.

When you start to make stuff up and try not to look like a cog in the machine of political waste you get yourself in trouble.

]Did Janet Reno fire card-carrying members of the Republican Party when she took office in 1993? You betcha; did anyone ask her why? Nope, they knew the answer.

We can now see what Nancy Pelosi meant when she said she wanted a spirit of cooperation in Congress and with the President. She wanted to smear the Republican Party as much as possible instead of working on the key issues her constituents truly care about.
