Sandusky police Lt. Melvin D. Burns Jr. has been placed on administrative leave with pay after being charged with persistent disorderly conduct last weekend in Put-in-Bay, according to Sandusky police Chief Kim Nuesse, Sandusky Police Chief.
The persistent disorderly conduct charge is not his first. Burns, 45, was charged previously for the same violation in 1993 by deputies at the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, according to Capt. Paul Sigsworth.
