SANDUSKY

A summertime party on the Cedar Point Chaussee was cut short for 13 juveniles Sunday morning when they were busted by police for underage drinking.

Officers received a complaint and responded about 12:41 a.m. to the 1500 block of Cedar Point Road where they observed a large group of underage people with beer cans and bottles laying about, according to the police report.

Two tried to run from police and were charged accordingly. Jeremy K. Hicks and Jordan M. Bowers, both 19-year-old Huron residents, were charged with underage consumption and obstructing official business.

The remaining were all charged for underage consumption and include: Sandusky residents Stephanie Frasca, 18, Carrie L. Brady, 20, and Lauren Sennish, 19; Huron residents Brian Fox, 19, James A. Beach, 18, Corey M. Aldridge, 20, Evan Deluca, 19, Ryan Noftz, 19, Anthony M. Grad, 19 and Eric M. Guerra, 18; and Clyde resident Nathan E. Schwartz, 19.

Parties with multiple underage consumption arrests are not unusual, said Assistant Chief Charlie Sams, estimating Sandusky police encounter two to three such parties on the Chaussee each summer.

"We get fairly big parties," he said.
