SANDUSKY

Of seven properties in Erie County owned by Sandusky Vice Mayor Dannie K. Edmon, four are in the process of foreclosure.

Edmon, 38, 319 E. Madison St., had four civil lawsuits filed against him in January and February regarding the foreclosures.

Records at the Erie County Auditor's Office show Edmon's seven properties totaled a 2006 appraisal value of more than $270,000. The properties being foreclosed amount to more than half that value.

Besides his residence, Edmon has property on Huron Avenue, Clinton Street, Hayes Avenue, and undeveloped lots on Hancock Street and Forest Drive. All but his residence and two empty lots on Forest Drive are in the foreclosure process, according to court records.

Edmon did not return phone calls for comment.

All four cases are being handled in Erie County Common Pleas Court by Judge Tygh Tone.

Upon foreclosure, the properties will be sold at a public auction conducted through the Erie County Sheriff's office. Auctions are 10 a.m. Tuesdays at the courthouse.
