Friday's meeting in Sandusky of the Ohio Chapter of the National Brownfield Associations gave Sandusky city officials a chance to do some pollution networking.

"What we look for, the tougher the job, the better," said Edward McCabe, who said his company, McCabe Engineering/Contracting of Richfield, helped transform old steel mills in Pittsburgh.

"Do we have work for you," said Scott Schell, a Sandusky economic development specialist.

The two exchanged business cards.

Sandusky's waterfront development efforts offer fine opportunities, McCabe said.

"It's a great location," he said. "Real estate is all about location, location, location."
