On June 4 we were saddened to read about the troubled young man on Decatur Street. We were glad to see that his name was not published as it must have caused his family a lot of pain. We gave the Register a lot of credit for not printing his name. However, the next day we were appalled to see another write-up in the Register, this time including his name.
Personally knowing this man and his fine parents, we feel that it was not necessary to disclose his name and cause his family more grief. In our opinion, it was in very poor taste.
