Northern Ohio Rural Water wants to bring safe drinking water to Lyme Township residents.
NORW is laying pipe near the Ohio 4 and U.S. 20 intersection. While some residents said they would rather be annexed by Bellevue to receive city water and sewer, others said they're glad to get what NORW is offering.
For each person against the water project, Lyme Township Trustee Roger Hunker said another handful supports it.
Questions have been raised by some residents about maintaining a sufficient water supply if there is future commercial development.
Hunker said they would cross that bridge when they come to it. He said the trustees thought it was best for all residents to go with NORW because the company is committed to serving current and future needs, whatever they might be.
