MONROEVILLE

The tiny confines of the Monroeville High School gymnasium are a long way from Quicken Loans Arena, home of the Cleveland Cavaliers. But Katie Perry is willing to bridge that distance for her career, Cavs mania and youth yearning to learn the art of dance.

Perry, 21, is a member of the Cavaliers dance team. She has been spending her time this week trying, in vain, to cheer the Cavs to victory in their best-of-seven NBA pro basketball series versus the San Antonio Spurs.

Cleveland lost the series in four games, ending with a close 83-82 loss at home Thursday night. Thursday morning however, Perry was busy teaching nine members of the Monroeville High School Dance Team some new moves and dance techniques as part of the week-long dance camp she's been leading.
