America has paid an extreme toll for the war in Iraq. One of the many problems the United States has faced with the war in Iraq is that at least eighty percent of the marines who have been killed in Iraq from wounds to the upper body could have survived if more body armor would have been provided for them. According to military officials, calls from the field for additional protection have largely been declined. That is just one of the many tolls being paid by the troops and America for the Iraq war.

The Iraq War started after America was attacked in New York City. President Bush sent troops in the later part of 2001. As the fighting in Afghanistan started, Bush decided to control terror in Iraq and anywhere it escalated. Now, however, many people are disapproving of the president's decision to go to war with Iraq. After seeing the American toll of more than 6,000 casualties, Bush is not as popular as he used to be.

There are billions of taxpayer's dollars being spent on the War in Iraq.

There are also people on the other side who say the war is necessary. However, the death counts are still rising by the day. If the people who agree with the war saw the conditions and the supplies the troops use, they would quickly disagree with the war.

The war is unnecessary because of all the casualties and all the money that has been spent. Support of troops but do not support the war's cause and its toll on America.
