Sandusky High School is on track to graduate 250 seniors next weekend, but the same class has lost nearly 50 students since its freshman year.
High school Principal Dan Poggiali said there are a variety of reasons some students don't graduate.
"We lose quite a few kids over a four-year stretch," he said.
Students either move to another district, don't have enough credits to graduate or drop out because of other circumstances, he said.
"Some have dependent children and that forces them to drop out," Poggiali said.
According to the last district report card, the high school had a graduation rate of 70 percent for the 2004-05 school year.
