Eleanor Hahn of Clyde is giving District Petroleum a big "thumbs down" for firing the Fremont woman who accidentally charged 33 cents for plus-grade unleaded gasoline last week.

Hahn, 70, sent a letter to the Register on May 17 and  included a $50 check for the 28-year-old woman who worked at the Hy-Miler gas station on 801 W. State St. in Fremont until last week.
