No right to criticize

The column titled "Will Won't" was a completely ignorant and desperate attempt to hurt Mike Will's status in our community. The article was invasive, harassing and wrong. Over the past three years, Mike Will has done nothing but tried to improve the status of our city, and has made great strides in bringing back positive attention to the down town area of Sandusky.

Over the past few years, Will has struggled with the city Ccommission because he wanted to perform his job to the best of his ability.

The city editor's attempt was completely outlandish and showed how desperate and "parasitic" the liberal media really is, even on the local level. Is Will's right to privacy any less deserved because he was our city manager? The answer is no. These reporters have no right to criticize the fact that he wishes to keep quiet about his personal life. The entire article was appalling. Never could I imagine the day would come when a man would be scrutinized for coming to work every day, doing his job quietly and not boasting or gloating about his or her accomplishments and alleged "ideas".

Maybe that is the problem with this city's local government. Everyone wants the attention and "pesky public appearances," but nobody wants to actually do the work. Our city has indeed lost one of its greatest assets, and along with it the new vision for the city's future.
