A pretrial hearing for James Fields, 39, scheduled Wednesday has been rescheduled for June 18. Fields is in the hospital and will be released for rehab later this week for an undetermined amount of time, according to the case file.
Fields was arrested on four counts of felony drug trafficking after authorities searched his business in April. Fields owns Crazy J's Used Cars on Venice Road.
His felony drug trafficking charges are allegedly for selling OxyContin and oxycodone. Prior to that offense, Fields was picked up in January 2006 for 29 counts of fraud and providing false documents and lowering mileage on odometer readings of cars he sold.
