Numerous charges, including assault have been brought against a Sandusky man after he attacked his ex-girlfriend Sunday night.
Lee A. Winston, 30, 500 block of Franklin St., assaulted a 24-year-old woman at about 11:49 a.m. Sunday in the 800 block of Wayne St.
The woman was found with numerous bruises on her face and body, according to the police report. The woman had allowed Winston, into her apartment to talk. Afterthe interaction became heated, Winston punched the woman in the face several times, the report stated. She then fell to the ground and was kicked in the stomach several times.
The attacker had left the apartment by the time police arrived. After the victim arrived at the police station to sign the charge, Winston was also found to be in violation of a protection order already filed for the woman.
At 11:30 p.m. another call was received by police from the same Wayne Street residence. Upon arrival, police found the same woman crying with blood on her face and shirt, the report said.
The victim said Winston broke into the apartment, punched her twice in the face and then hid in the closet when police arrived. Winston was apprehended by police and charged further with aggravated burglary, kidnapping, domestic violence, obstructing official business and violation of a temporary protective order.
