I have never written to the reader's forum before, but I feel compelled to respond to Brandi Barhite's column, "Will Won't". To write such an article because Mr. Will refused to talk to you concerning his resignation, is no different than a two-year-old throwing a fit when he can't have a cookie.
First of all, Mr. Will is not an elected official. He was hired by the City Commission (they're the elected officials) to run the City of Sandusky; not play politics. He does not have to answer to you, he answers to the City Commission. He tendered his resignation to them and they accepted. I'm sure that he gave them a sincere and honest reason for leaving. If you want answers, you should talk to them.
For some reason, the media today feels that they have the right to pry into everyone's business and that everyone has an obligation to comply with their demands. The last I checked, this was America and in America, you have the right to decide whether or not you wish to talk to someone. Sounds like his secretary responded in a professional manner stating his desire to exercise his above mentioned right.
Mike Will has done more good for the City of Sandusky then Barhite ever will by writing such articles in the Sandusky Register.
I wish Mike Will the best of luck in his new endeavors.
