SANDUSKY

A Columbus woman pleaded guilty Monday to receiving stolen property and attempted tampering with evidence.

Christina L. Kimmons, 31, will serve eight months in prison.

On July 20, Kimmons disposed of someone else's checkbook, which she then attempted to alter. Officials have reason to believe the checkbook was obtained through theft.

A charge for tampering with records was dismissed.
