The Erie County Sheriff's office hung Old Glory at half staff Tuesday in honor of National Peace Officers Memorial Day.

Erie County Sheriff Captain Paul Sigsworth said the flag was lowered to half staff to honor police officers who've died in the line of duty nationwide.

At 2 p.m. Sunday, law enforcement officers from throughout Erie County will gather at the Erie County Services Center, 2900 Columbus Ave., for a memorial procession that will end at the fallen peace officer memorial downtown.
