NORWALK

Norwalk Goodwill employee Ronda Chaffee, 34, of Norwalk was processing the incoming donations Wednesday afternoon when she was surprised to find $800 in an envelope stuffed in a pocket of an old leather purse. She reported the find to her manager and passed along an identification card also found in the purse.

They called the person on the identification card, Norwalk resident Darlene Good, to ask her if she was missing anything important. Good quickly realized the mistake she'd made when she donated a box of items to the store. She returned to the store to claim her missing $800 and gave Chaffee a $100 reward.
