PERKINS TWP.

The latest word from Perkins Township Trustee Tim Coleman is that the officer complaint filed by Perkins Fire Chief Richard Myosky against Perkins Police Lt. Al Matthews is officially closed. The status of the case has jumped back and forth since the issue became public earlier this week.

Myosky filed a complaint after a March 22 argument during which Matthews denied rumors of a 90-minute meeting involving Matthews, Perkins Police Chief Tim McClung and the Register. No such meeting took place.

Coleman said the complaint has been closed and Myosky's claims were believed to be unfounded since the May 1 executive session meeting. Coleman said he misspoke in an interview with the Register on Monday when he said it was still being investigated.
