Cedar Point helps raise money for Red Cross

SANDUSKY

The 16th annual American Red Cross Golf Challenge hosted Wednesday at Cedar Point's Challenge Park raised about $8,000 for the organization.

Prizes were distributed to the top three teams. Payne, Nickles & Company's Team 2 captured first place. Second place went to pointbuzz.com and third place was taken by WD Donline.

Craig Freeman received the Breakers Towers Horizon Suite raffle package that includes a one-night stay at Breakers Towers and four day passes to Cedar Point.

More than 50 teams competed in the annual challenge making it "Firelands Chapter's largest golf challenge ever," said event chairperson Judy Kinzel in a news release.

The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization that provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare and respond to emergencies.
