WAKEMAN

A New London man was transported to Oberlin Hospital Tuesday morning after he lost control of and was thrown from his motorcycle on Ohio 60 in Wakeman Township.

Steven A. Logan, 52, 200 block of Fitchville River Road, was later flown by medical helicopter to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center.

He was listed in stable condition at 4:15 p.m.

The accident occurred at about 7:40 a.m. Logan was driving a 1988 Honda Goldwing south on Ohio 60. He was not wearing a helmet.

He failed to negotiate a curve and dropped off the right side of the road, according to reports. He then came back onto the road before dropping off the right side again.

The motorcycle overturned and Logan was thrown from the vehicle, coming to rest in a yard on the west side of the road.

State Highway Patrol officials said the crash remains under investigation.
