PERKINS TWP.

Perkins tuned up for defense of its SBC boys track and field championship at home Saturday with an easy win in a tri-meet Tuesday with St. Mary Central Catholic and Woodmore.

The Pirates had 11 firsts, including two by Shane Huntley who captured honors in the 100 meter dash and the 300 meter hurdles.

Edison 73, Clyde 63

At Clyde, Edison won the 4x400 relay to finish with a 10-point margin over Clyde in their dual meet.

Tristan Stoll won the 100 for the Chargers and anchored the winning 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams.

Huron 67, Port Clinton 65

At Huron, the Tigers trailed Port Clinton by three points entering the final event of the day, the 4x400 relay.

The team of Tim Folger, Ben Blodgett, Matt Lehrer and Craig Thorne lifted their team to a 67-65 win by taking the relay in dramatic fashion. Folger and Thorne also earned firsts in individual events.

Anthony Monaco, Adam Tatlock and Jarod Cox were double winners for the Redskins.
