VERMILION

Attorney Zack Dolyk, who has been an attorney for 28 years, won Tuesday's primary for Vermilion Municipal Court judge.  Because no Republicans and no independent candidates decided to run for the office, he wins the seat by default and won't have to campaign for the November election.

According to unofficial results from the Erie County Board of Elections, Dolyk received 62 percent of the 1,280 votes cast for the Vermilion judge spot. The tally results were 794 votes for Dolyk and 486 votes for his Democratic opponent Susan Ryan Brown.
