A deadly virus that caused thousands of dead fish to wash up on Lake Erie's coastline last year is expected to stage a comeback.

While clusters of dead fish washing ashore is an unpleasant sight, fishery officials said it is doubtful the expected viral hemorrhagic septicemia outbreak will seriously threaten the lake's fish population this year.
