A fire before the lunchtime rush didn’t keep local diner The Better Half from doing business Tuesday afternoon.
The roof of the diner caught on fire around 11 a.m., but by 1 p.m. the diner was serving up customers menu favorites.
The blaze was seen by a good Samaritan passing by who notified the diners serving staff, who then evacuated the building. Sandusky fire department quickly knocked down the blaze caused by a neon light strip on the roof.
