Sandusky County Park District wants you to take a hike, a ride or a walk on its bike trails.
The Park District has an idea to expand The Northcoast Inland Bike Trail to stretch through Bellevue.
On May 8, Sandusky County residents will have the opportunity to determine if the services provided by its district should continue to prosper. The park levy not only affects the Fremont area, but Bellevue and Clyde as well.
The expansion of the Northcoast Inland Bike Trail is for a total of 27 miles through Huron, Wood, Lorain and Ottawa counties. Should the levy not pass, the hopes for this trail would remain unfinished, the park district would also have to return $2,500,000 that was granted for construction of the 10.5-mile Fremont-Lindsey-Elmore bike trail segment.
