SANDUSKY

A Sandusky man was recovering from his injuries at Firelands Regional Medical Center Thursday afternoon after he was allegedly beat up by several men near his home.

Virgil Hahn, 51, 200 block of W. Adams St., was treated for cuts above his right eye, on his right eyelid and on his nose after he reportedly confronted several men near his Adams Street driveway.

Hahn's wife, Susan, told officers she confronted one of the men for walking on the driveway.

The man told her he wanted to ask to use the rest room. He allegedly became belligerent, which prompted Susan Hahn to call for her husband.

Virgil Hahn told police he couldn't tell who or how many men assaulted him. Susan Hahn said there were several subjects involved. Police said they couldn't get a good description of the men from the Hahns.

After seeing Virgil Hahn's injuries, police called an ambulance.
