This year's May Days event anticipates drawing larger crowds by including such attractions as a Nautical Flea Market, International Museum Day and the Big Splash Raffle's kickoff.

The event will be 9 a.m-4 p.m., May 19 at the Maritime Museum, 125 Meigs St., and the surrounding area with a few activities taking place Sunday.

The day is sure to make a splash into the upcoming tourist season, providing free Maritime Museum boat rides and model boat building for children, which will take place May 20.

Visitors can also go to Eleutheros Cooke House and Garden, Follett House Museum, Merry-go-round Museum and Maritime Museum of Sandusky, which offer free admission from noon-4 p.m. for the event. There will be a trolley for transportation from museum to museum.
