Union President Bobbie Nesbit didn't return to work Monday at the G&C Foundry.
Nesbit's absence is one of a string of setbacks plaguing the Monroe Street foundry. With G&C Foundry possibly closing, plant officials sent Nesbit home after he refused to take another job, he said.
"I'm not suspended, not terminated. I was kicked out," Nesbit said.
Nesbit was offered a transfer from his job as core maker to a temporary job doing lab work. Nesbit refused to take the transfer because he was not qualified and the job was undesirable.
