PORT CLINTON

Many Port Clinton residents told council members they want the chance to vote on which developer would be chosen for the marina district project.

More than 30 residents attended Tuesday's meeting where council members reviewed the second reading of an ordinance that would repeal its attempt to negotiate with Puller Group, one of two developers considered for the project.

Safety-Service Director Rich Babcock was forced to temporarily discontinue negotiations with the Puller Group after a petition circulated forcing the city council to repeal the original ordinance.

The council will review the proposed ordinance for a third reading at 7 p.m. Tuesday before the council's regularly scheduled work session.
