A Sandusky high school student was beat up Monday on his way to school by two other high school students.
The boy, 15, told police he was riding his bike on the Hayes Avenue sidewalk near the underpass when two boys blocked his path.
He said one of the boys punched him in the head.
He sustained some cuts on his knuckles from trying to hold his bike up while he was attacked. He also had swelling around his left eye and some cuts on his nose.
Officers took photos of the boy's injuries and took one of his alleged attackers into custody.
The accused, a 16-year-old male, claimed he hadn't attacked the boy and didn't know him, citing his alleged accomplice as a witness.
The accomplice, another 16-year-old male, said he watched his friend hit the boy, but then took off running.
The accused 16-year-old was transported to Erie County Detention Home.
