What can $2.50 per month buy you? Two cups of good coffee? Two beers during happy hour? Maybe a gallon of gas?

The Sandusky County Park District has placed a 1 mill tax levy on the May 8 ballot. The levy will cost $2.50 a month for the owner of a home valued at $100,000.

This levy will replace the expiring levy and allow the continued operation of the quality facilities and services. The levy will also provide the opportunity for the expansion of the North Coast Inland Bike Path, the continued operation and restoration of Creek Bend Farms, and maintenance of all seven of our county parks.

Sandusky County Parks offer unlimited recreation possibilities for individuals, couples, and families: biking, walking, hiking, camping, bird watching, canoeing or just enjoying a beautiful day.

The park district offers programs for any age group from 3-103 you can enjoy one or more of the more than 350 programs offered each year.

The Park District has not received a millage increase in 18 years and has proven to be a trusted steward of our resources.
