From dinner menus to the booths on which people sat and ate for the past 25 years, almost every item inside the former Damon's restaurant on Sandusky's waterfront was sold Thursday.

Total sales from the day surpassed $50,000 during the four-hour auction.

“We had a lot of interest and plenty of competitive bidding,” said Marvin Schiff, general counsel for the Rosen and Co. auction business. “We had a lot of people come to the auction, and there was a wide interest in using the equipment.”

In late September, the chain restaurant in Sandusky closed after its parent company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy two years before.

WhatTheHeck

Maybe now Damon's will honor the checks that they bounced around Sandusky the last day they were open. I know of at least 3 different businesses that got stuck with them and the Sandusky Law Department does not want to do anything about it.

Blacktigress
