As I am now trying to adjust to yet another stupid law, I am going to vent my fustration in this letter, about the daylight savings time nightmare.

No one has been able to prove we save energy. We just have to turn on the lights earlier and send children out into the early morning darkness to get to school because some idiot in Washington go a few more idiots to pass a law.

Given that we have more daylight in the warmer months, would it not be more logical to adjust everything to that fact? Bears and other animals know enough to store food and go into a cave for the winter. Instead, we try to make the weather adjust to us for profit.

Repeal the daylight savings time law. If businesses want to stay open longer and use more energy, at least let them open earlier! Better still, pass a law that everyone doing business has to close on Wednesdays in the name of energy conservation for our future children. There is no good reason for anyone not to be able to get what they need during any one of the other six days and thus we would save energy consumption.

Change the amount of time that students are in school and let them attend it during the warmer weather and stay home during the cold and dark time of the year. If the Bluffton University team and bus driver had been traveling during the day, they would not have had that accident.

If one person can start a movement to have smoking banned in public places, maybe two people can start a movement to have the time change law abolished.

I can't be the only one who feels this way.
