Time to get those sneakers laced and those hamstrings stretched. There are two 5K walk/runs scheduled this Sunday in the Sandusky area. Ann Van Nort, a retired Sandusky teacher, fell down her stairs and broke her back in May. Her friends and family have rallied around her to host the Road to Recovery 5K at Battery Park.
When racers are finished in downtown Sandusky, they can still make it out to Osborn Park in Huron Township for Mason’s Walk. The event, in its second year, is coordinated by Mason’s mother Baranda.

And as an added bonus, the Register will give a 4-week subscription to any participant in both races. Double event participants should send an e-mail with your name and address werling@sanduskyregister.com. Add a photo of yourself with both event shirts or at both races if possible.
