The Norwalk volleyball team secured the Northern Ohio League title outright Thursday with a 25-15, 24-26, 25-19, 25-15 win over Tiffin Columbian at NHS.
The Lady Truckers (16-6 overall, 13-1 in the NOL) grabbed their 13th league crown total and fourth in nine years. They last won the championship in 2007.
“The girls played well and really stayed focused the entire night,’’ Norwalk coach Angie Kalizewski said. “I was very proud of them and the way we played. Tonight, our seniors really stepped up and played great matches for the both of them.”
Sam Obringer went 16-of-18 with five aces, 23-of-24 in serve receive, 34-of-41 with 12 kills at the net and gained 23 digs.
