St. Mary Central Catholic committed nine errors in a 12-0 loss to non-conference rival St. Joseph Central Catholic Thursday in Sandusky.

"It's tough to win a game with nine errors, but you also can't win without touching the plate," St. Mary CC (1-2) coach Julie Myers said. "We need to regroup and regain our focus."

Sarah May was 2 for 2 for the Panthers, while Hannah Green doubled. Maddie Kreidler and Jorden Edinger rounded out SMCC's offense with singles.

The Crimson Flashes scored 12 runs on just seven hits. Edinger, in the circle for SMCC, allowed four walks and struck out four.

Kristin Sessler led the SJCC offense with two hits and two stolen bases, scoring four runs. Anne Beaschler was 1 for 3 with a double, four RBIs and two runs scored. St. Joseph pitcher Sonya Kwiatkowski allowed five hits and struck out five batters in five scoreless innings.

St. Mary CC travels to Danbury on Monday for a game against the Lakers.
