Poppin Paisley is a must stop for memory lockets

Heidi Lacy remembers the moment years ago when she saw a memory locket and fell in love with the concept.
She had ideals to make it better. She felt it needed to be deeper and have an interchangeable top. It was then a business was born.
Lacy started Poppin Paisley a couple years ago out of her home with her vision of a memory locket.
“Children's birthstones. School colors. You use charms to tell your memories, who you are and things you hold important,” Lacy said.
The name for the store came from her mother. Lacy is a nanny so it is a nod to the most famous nanny- Mary Poppins and to Lacy's love of all things paisley.
Lacy would sell her lockets at events, such as dance events. She had a kiosk over the past holiday at the Southpark Mall in Strongsville. Lacy in June opened Poppin Paisley as a stylish boutique storefront on Milan Road next to Danny Boy's.
She offers a starter kit for the locket for $38, a more affordable price then other versions, Lacy said.
The kit allows someone to select a desired color of gems (either six small gems or three bigger gems), a rhinestone letter or number, a charm and a chain of a persons choice.
But lockets are not the only thing for sell in the shop.
There is a lot of things that a customer might see on Etsy. A sale at Poppin Paisley, however, does not come with shipping costs.
Colorful tutus, butterfly wings, infant headbands and cute rompers are offered. Poppin Paisley has little ties and hats guaranteed to make sure a kid is stylish. The store has capes and masks so a child can be the superhero that saves the family.
There are blinged out women's t-shirts through out the store, some proudly proclaim a ladies love of sports and her children.
In a move that some shoppers would consider a dream, Lacy will arrange with customers to host private, after-hours shopping parties at her store.
The host gets a portion of the party's sales as a credit toward future shopping in the store.
