A missing $3,000 ring is being investigated by the Ottawa County sheriff's office.
A man contacted sheriff's deputies Thursday and said the ring has been missing for about a week, a deputy's report said.
It belongs to his wife who is a resident of Riverview Nursing Home in Oak Harbor .
Employees said it might have gotten lost in the laundry, the report said, but the man contacted deputies after he had not heard anything back.
The report said deputies are inquiring with local pawn shops to see if it's been pawned.
Osterman Jewelers estimated the ring to be worth $3,250.
It is described the company as a golf diamond dinner ring containing 0.3 carat, 0.33 carat and 0.37 carat round brilliant cut diamonds.
