Jurors did not reach a verdict Wednesday in the rape and kidnapping trial of Strecker Road man Brian Jury, 39.
Five days of testimony from 16 witnesses — including the defendant and the Lorain woman he allegedly abducted — wrapped up Tuesday.
Jurors spent all day Wednesday deliberating, but did not reach a verdict on Jury's five counts of rape, two counts of kidnapping, and one count each of attempted murder and felonious assault.
Deliberations will resume today, with a verdict anticipated by day's end. Proceedings could extend into Friday, however.

Jury allegedly kidnapped the woman in Lorain Nov. 1 and drove her to his Groton Township property. He then allegedly bound and gagged her, then raped her five times.
When Jury left the property, the still-naked and bound woman busted through the door and made her way to the roadside where a passerby called police.
Jury took the stand in his own defense earlier this week, saying the sex was consensual. It was only after he discovered the woman stole $100 from him, then allegedly demanded more money else she accuse him of rape, that Jury hogtied her, Jury said.
Deliberations will begin again today at 8:30 a.m.
