Tim Hollinger, Huron County's health commissioner, will become Crawford County's health commissioner, too.
Starting on June 22, he'll take over the Crawford County job, dividing his time between the two counties. During a six-month probationary period, health boards in both counties will be monitoring how well the arrangement is working.
“This is an opportunity to reduce administrative overhead costs,” said Hollinger. “It also provides a chance to standardize public health services among contiguous health districts, ultimately providing better services to both counties."
Hollinger replaces Scott Kibler, who is retiring after seven years as Crawford County's health commissioner.
