50 years ago, 1964: Picketers continued their two-week patrol of Hills Department Store. One woman said she would keep marching "until I drop." The union filed a charge of unfair practices with the National Labor Relations Board in Cleveland.
25 years ago, 1989: Cedar Point's new Magnum XL 200 roller coaster was shut down while workers tried to determine what caused its lift chain to break. The 1,000-foot-long chain which hauled cars to the top of the 201-foot hill, broke, temporarily stranding passengers.
10 years ago, 2004: A Sandusky woman accidentally stabbed herself when she saw a mouse on her kitchen floor, according to Sandusky police. She was cutting something in the kitchen when the mouse startled her. She jumped and stabbed herself in the leg.
