A southwest Ohio theme park ride is running again a day after heavy smoke forced riders to evacuate its building. Kings Island spokesman Don Helbig said the motor that caused the smoke inside the Flight of Fear ride was replaced after the Monday afternoon incident.
Multiple fire crews responded to a report of a structure fire and found the motor was smoking, but not burning. A spokeswoman for the city of Mason said 18 people were exposed to the smoke, and two received treatment but weren’t transported Monday.
Power was shut off, and the building was cleared and ventilated.
