A Perkins police cruiser was struck just before midnight Saturday evening at Perkins Avenue and Campbell Street.

Binghong Zhou, 21, of East Lansing, Mich., said she was trying to turn onto Perkins Avenue from Campbell Street when she struck the cruiser’s passenger side rear tire and quarter panel. “I did not see the police car until I hit him,” Zhou said when contacted in Lansing.

The cruiser was driven by Officer Joe Bauman. Zhou had been at Cedar Point for the day. No one was hurt in the crash, which is being investigated by the Sandusky post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

No citations have been issued.
