At Fremont, the St. Mary Central Catholic girls track and field team placed third at the 10-team Division III district meet Saturday afternoon.
Toledo Christian won the event with 120 points, followed by Gibsonburg (104.5) and SMCC (100.5).
For SMCC, Jenna Hinds won the 1600 (5:29.55) and the 3200 (12:16.23), while Kennedy Gennari won the long jump (15-feet-10) and took third in the 100 (13.08).
The 4x200 team of Abby Bastien, Kennedy and Ireland Gennari and Tre’ McCarty won in 1:46.92, while the same quartet took second in the 4x100 in 50.27.
Bastien took third in the 400 (1:02.01), while Ireland Gennari also placed third in the 300 hurdles (48.35), as did McCarty in the 200 (26.75).
In the discus, Alexis McCabe took second for the Panthers (112-10).
Bri Adams won the high jump for the Danbury girls at 4-feet-10, while Tori Wright took third in the shot put (34-feet-11.5), and third in the discus (108-8). Erin Lavelle was fourth in the high jump (4-8).
For Margaretta, Aleah Bailey won the high jump (5 feet), while Kasey Parkhurst took third in the 100 hurdles (16.72) and the 4x100 relay team of Cindy Nielsen, Courtnee Ambos, Aleah Bailey and Parkhurst took third in 50.77.
Grace Kleinoeder also took second for the Polar Bears in the high jump (4-feet-8).
In boys action, SMCC placed fifth with 48 points.
Antonio Torres was third in the 1600 (4:41.29) and fourth in the 800 (2:01.16), while Hayden Snow was third in the 100 (11.7).
The 4x100 relay team of Garrhett London, Melvin Jackson, Jared MacDonald and Snow also took third in 45.32, while Nick Bostater was fourth in the high jump (5-feet-10).
Caleb Gerber took fourth in the 110 hurdles for Danbury in 16.59 seconds.
